Learning to trust yourself

We all experience moments where we question ourselves. Perhaps you've made a mistake, faced a setback, or found yourself comparing your journey to everyone else's. Over time, these experiences can chip away at your confidence, leaving you second-guessing decisions that once felt instinctive.
The truth is, self-trust isn't something you are born with, it's something you build, one decision at a time.
Learning to trust yourself starts with recognising just how far you've already come. Think about the challenges you've overcome, the difficult decisions you've made, and the moments where you adapted even when things didn't go to plan. More often than not, you've been more capable than you've given yourself credit for.
It's also important to remember that making the "wrong" decision doesn't mean you can't trust yourself. Every experience, whether it leads to success or teaches a valuable lesson, helps shape your judgement for the future. Growth rarely comes from getting everything right, it comes from learning along the way.
When self-doubt creeps in, try to pause before seeking reassurance from everyone around you. Instead, ask yourself: What do I already know? What feels right to me? Your intuition is a skill that becomes stronger the more you choose to listen to it. Confidence grows each time you trust yourself enough to take the next step, even if it's a small one.
Remember, you don't need to have all the answers to move forward. Trust isn't about certainty, it's about believing that whatever happens, you'll have the resilience, knowledge, and determination to handle it.
So, the next time you find yourself questioning your abilities, take a moment to look back at everything you've already achieved. The chances are, you are far more capable than you realise.
Trust yourself, you have earned it!
